Yes, all cycles (including a child’s bike and scooter) fit on the VK Bicycle Carrier.

Will I need any tools to secure the cycles?

No, you don’t need any tools.

What are its dimensions and weight?

The wheel grooves of the VK Carrier for 2 cycles are 124 cm long. The width of the carrier is 33.5 cm. The distance between the centres of the wheels of the cycles positioned alongside one another is 25 cm.
Its weight is 11 kg. 

The wheel grooves of the VK Carrier for 5 and for 6 cycles are 124 cm long. The width of both carriers is 104 cm. The distance between the centres of the wheels of the cycles positioned alongside one another on a VK Carrier for 5 cycles is 23.8 cm. The distance between the centres of the wheels of the cycles positioned alongside one another on a VK Carrier for 6 cycles is 19.6 cm.

Can I also place a child’s bike on the VK Bicycle Carrier?

Yes, you can. You must, however, position the round hook at the height of the tyre of the child’s bike. You can do so by drilling an additional 8 mm hole through the square shaft at approximately 2/3 of the height of the tyre. Tie an old inner tube around the front wheel bracket (approximately halfway).

How can I protect all cycles against theft?

VK recommends the purchase of a good plasticized steel cable in which you make 2 eyes. Draw this cable through all the cycle frames and secure the cable through the eyes using a quality cylinder lock.

Is the VK Bicycle Carrier easy to remove?

Yes, simply release the self-locking nuts. If you regularly mount and remove the VK Bicycle Carrier we recommend you use wing nuts.

We only use racing cycles. Which carrier do you recommend?

In this case we recommend the carrier for 5 cycles. And even if you carry no more than 4 or 5 cycles, we also recommend the 5 cycle carrier.

We want to carry all kinds of cycles?

In this case VK recommends the carrier for 6 cycles.

Why are cycles protected against damage on this carrier?

All cycles stand independently of one another. And each cycle is secured by its tyres at the bottom, top, front and rear (this is dependent on the geometry of the cycle)

Is the price of the 5 cycle carrier and that of the 6 cycle carrier the same?

Yes, the VK Bicycle Carrier for 5 cycles costs as much as the carrier for 6 cycles. 

Will the cycles we purchase in 15 years time still fit on the VK Bicycle Carrier?

Yes, they will fit as long as there are two round wheels under them.
